Categorized Expense Reports
This section of ExpenseDocs provides a comprehensive and categorized summary of all the expenses you have entered for a date range of your choosing. All the expenses from your "Meetings or Expenses", "Recurring Expenses" and business trips are totaled here. Simply choose a start date and an end date and press the "Show" button and in seconds your categorized summary is available for you tax preparation specialist. You may also break the categorized totals down into their itemized components in seconds by downloading them into a spreadsheet (CSV).
Additionally, if you have chosen to use the business mileage of your vehicle as a deduction and entered the mileage associated with your expenses and meetings in the space available in the expense form it is totaled, too. When it is time to retrieve monthly, quarterly or yearly totals you will have them available in seconds. This alone will save you hundreds of dollars you have to pay someone to 'reinvent' your business spending, or the days of grief compiling everything yourself, not to mention the productivity you will not lose by using our service.
We are not tax preparation specialists; you need to consult with a professional to prepare your taxes. We are, however, the simplest way to thoroughly document your business meetings and expenses and retrieve the data when you need it. Depending on your taxing jurisdiction your deductable items may be different. Please check with your accountant to make sure you understand which expenses are deductable.
